Ms. & Mr. Narxoz were chosen in the assembly hall of the university on February 16. Students with high GPA scores (3.0 and higher) could participate in the competition according to the requirements of the organizers.
Within the framework of the competition, nine couples consisted of students of various courses and specialties showed their creative skills and intellectual abilities. The show began with a fascinating dance, which was popular in the 60’s. This genre was chosen for a particular reason. Our university was founded in the 60s and the audience plunged into the “Dandies" era.
Participants holding their breath were waiting for the results of the jury evaluations together with the fans. By the way, the jury was full of Kazakhstan show business’ celebrities: producer, singer and actress Assel Sadvakasova, famous Kazakhstani blogger Aynur Nurseit.
Kamilla Zhambakiyeva, the candidate Master of Sports in Artistic Gymnastics, Master of Sports in Acrobatics, Winner of the National European Championship in Modern Dances "Magic World" and Vitaly Lee, the Head of the Marketing Department of the University were also in the jury.
The event was sponsored by various companies, which provided commemorative prizes and gifts. “Maybelline New York” company did not only please our winners with cosmetic sets, but also provided all the contestants with a professional make-up. “KinoPark” company provided our participants with 10 tickets, and Ainur Nurseit’s beauty studio presented 20,000 (twenty thousand) tenge certificate to the contestants.
Unfortunately, in the bustle of counting votes, the organizers made a mistake and only after the event was over, the real winners were finally announced. We are glad to tell their names:
