JSC “International Programs Center” “Bolashak”
The program's goal is to train personnel and specialists for priority sectors of the country's economy.

“Bolashak” International Scholarship was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. A. Nazarbayev on November 5, 1993.

The goal of the program is to train personnel and specialists for priority sectors of the country's economy. The program includes both academic studies (master's and doctoral studies) and research and production internships at leading companies and universities in the world.

During the 25 years of “Bolashak” program implementation, 12,898 students were awarded with scholarships. Out of these, 785 scholarships were awarded in the first ten years from 1994 to 2004, and 12,046 scholarships were awarded from 2005 to 2017. According to the results of the meeting of the Republican Commission on Personnel Training Abroad of May 24, 2018, “Bolashak” scholarship was awarded to 67 applicants.

Today, 10 096 specialists were prepared thanks to “Bolashak”: 2 858 – undergraduate program, 5 098 – master’s, 136 – graduate school, internship and clinical residency, 129 – doctoral studies, 1 875 – internships.Today, 10,096 specialists have been trained via “Bolashak” program: among them 2,858 - bachelor degree, 5,098 - master degree, 136 graduate school, internships and clinical internships, 129 - doctoral studies, 1,875 completed traineeships.

53% of graduates’ total number completed their studies in the humanities, 37.8% - engineering, 7.4% - medical and 1.8% - creative specialties.

Now, there are 1,255 scholarship holders studying abroad. 14 of them are completing undergraduate program, 1,067 – master programs, 120 - doctoral studies, 1 – graduate school, 53 people are on the professional internship.

The distribution of scholarship holders by country is 48.8% in the UK and Ireland, 37.1% in the USA and Canada, 4.7% in continental Europe, 4.8% in Asia and Oceania, and 4.6% in Russian Federation.

Sphere of cooperation: “Bolashak” International Programs Centre and Narxoz University cooperate in the training of qualified personnel with foreign education, implement a joint project to create a network partnership with Kazakhstan and foreign universities and develop cooperation with a foreign volunteer corps. Today, there are more than 200 graduates of Narxoz University, who are also graduates of “Bolashak” international program. Narxoz has become a partner in the development of onelife.systems portal for attracting foreign students and now is expecting two volunteers from Spain and Georgia.

The purpose of the Chamber is to promote growth opportunities for British businesses selling goods and services to Kazakhstan, and increase the value of businesses generated by British companies.

The Chamber is located in Almaty.

British Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan was opened on September 14, 2015 with the support of major British and Kazakh companies: Air Astana, KPMG, Rio Tinto, Shell, Tsesna Bank and Wood Group.

The Chamber has more than 50 members representing the British business community in Kazakhstan, and seeks to increase the number of members in the course of further development. 

Scope of cooperation: research, business, networking. October 10, 2018 Narxoz University officially became a member of British Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan and will develop the Kazakh-British partnership. The direction of cooperation will be a multilateral partnership with large business companies on the priorities of the university.

European Business Association of Kazakhstan
European Business Association of Kazakhstan (EUROBAK) is a non-profit organization

European Business Association of Kazakhstan (EUROBAK) is a non-profit organization established in 1999 on the initiative of European companies and the Delegation of the European Union. EUROBAK unites over 145 companies: world-famous international, European and Kazakhstan companies, diplomatic missions from Europe and other countries of the world. The association plays an important role in promoting and establishing a dialogue between Kazakhstan and Europe in business and public spheres. 

Sphere of cooperation: Narxoz University is a member of European Business Association of Kazakhstan (EUROBAK). The university participates in forums, social venues and conferences organized by the Association. In addition, the students of the Narxoz University are actively involved in EUROBAK projects - universities of practical knowledge of HR, Marketing and PR. Cooperation will affect the forms of interaction with employers, the process of preparing graduates, the development of new joint development programs.
